The Specials Material Prep person will work on special orders that require more attention to detail and is required to meet specific deadlines. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. What you will do:Read tickets and/or labels to properly pull the required components necessary for building door(s) correctlyPrep jambs per order requirementsApply weather stripping to head and get the proper sill per order requirementsPin reprinted paperwork to completed jamb set, and put it in the door cart with the door for that orderActivate machine cycle to machine the jambRemove the jamb from the machine and start the weather- stripping processStocking finished productMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assigned What you will need:High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredPrevious work experience in a production environment, preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to read tape measure to 1/32" inch and understand bill of materialsAbility to work independently and effectively in a team environmentSolid verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-taskMust be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skillsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilitiesMaintain a well-organized work areaRegular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid disruptions in production and customer service.Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as writtenSafe Production:Masonite strives to maintain a target 0% safety incident rate.
