- Applicant must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the following counties: Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Clarendon, Horry, Georgetown or Berkeley.
- Serve as a Special Agent in SLED's Special Victims Unit - Department of Child Fatalities.
- Support Local and State Agencies: Develop professional relationships with local law enforcement agencies, coroners, and other local and state agencies to build relationships that will foster a positive work environment and support the overall mission of SLED and the Child Death Investigation Task Forces (CDITF).
- Must be a commissioned certified law enforcement officer as required by the SC Criminal Justice Academy.
- If your certification is from another state or the federal government, you must successfully complete the requirements of the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy to become a Class I Law Enforcement Officer in South Carolina.
