TITLE: Sourcing Manager - Plastics Resins and Components
REPORTS TO: Sr. Sourcing Manager

Develop strategies and execution for Newell Brands’ Plastic Components category.Drive Newell Brands’ key sourcing metrics which include: Productivity, Working Capital Improvements, Lead Time, Service Level, and Quality.Work in a cross-functional team environments and provide support to various management teams to deliver on the goals and metrics of Newell Brands.
Specific Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies across multiple business units for the plastics components category resulting in cost savings as well as improved supplier performance that fully support current and future manufacturing / business goals.
Research, identify, and qualify best value sources of supply
Deliver 3-5% year over year productivity goals for assigned commodities and increase DPO in accordance with working capital objectives
·   Develop and lead productivity projects in support of business goals based on, but not limited to, the following areas:Supplier selection, Supplier Consolidation / Introduction, Negotiated Savings, NPD Changes, Quality Enhancements, Raw Material Changes.
Develop and manage the relationships with preferred suppliers
Develop knowledge of new Domestic and International markets in order to find new sources of supply
·   Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as supply/demand planning, operations, engineering, marketing, quality and finance to effectively drive accurate material forecasting, purchasing, compliance and standardized processes that enable continuity of supply, reduces E&O exposure, lowers material cost and ensures alignment between sourcing strategy and overall Operating Segment objectives.
Contract life-cycle management with preferred suppliers
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related fields; or comparable experience
5 to 7 years of sourcing or purchasing experience in plastic components / resins is preferred
Strong project management skills and experience
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%
Ability to work, motivate and lead effectively in a team environment
Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
·   Demonstrates excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of Internet based procurement and practices
·   Demonstrates competency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI) and SAP
