- The School Social Worker promotes and enhances the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning.
- The School Social Worker significantly contributes to the development of a healthy, safe, respectful, responsible, and caring environment by advancing the understanding of the emotional, social, and behavioral development of students and the influences of family, school, learning, community, and cultural differences on student success and by implementing effective intervention strategies throughout the building, at all levels, providing various tiered supports.
- The School Social Worker will be responsible for (but not limited to) various supports relating to the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students : prevention, consultation, coordination, analysis, assessment, facilitation, and integration of building wide supports for students through MTSS and Special Education services to students and support for staff, families, and the community.
- Expertise and background with MTSS and PBIS, preferred
- Review brief and complex functional behavior assessment process (FBA), as needed
