- Position Focus: Licensed Mental Health Clinician position available within Yale Department of Psychiatry's Juvenile Justice Mental Health program in Hamden, CT. Position entails providing assessment and treatment to court-involved adolescent/emerging adult males in the REGIONS program.
- Anticipates problems and determines Evaluates treatment progress and presents findings and recommendations for change at treatment team Coordinates and provides clinical case management services, including referrals to appropriate levels of Provides crisis intervention and clinical triage to facilitate necessary services, such as inpatient hospitalization, when Researches, develops and implements programs which enhance both inpatient and outpatient services of unit.
- Required Education and Experience Master's Degree in Social Work and two years of experience in a psychiatric care setting or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Required Skill/Ability 3: Ability to assess and treat adolescents with mental health, substance use and/or behavioral problems using evidence-based and best practices, with an emphasis on improving an adolescent’s well being through the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Required Skill/Ability 4: Ability to provide training and consultation to clinical and residential staff in accordance with the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model.
