- The skilled Quality inspector must be able to read customer drawings, interpret drawing requirements, use inspection tooling, physically inspect parts, and document inspection results.
- The skilled Quality inspector will work with direction from the quality team lead.
- Work from and have the ability to follow work instructions including: finding job paperwork on the network; read blueprints; set-up and use of inspection tooling; and perform visual and dimensional inspections to tight aerospace criteria; inspect parts in various stages of the machining process.
- Demonstrate the ability to use various inspection tooling and gauging which includes: CMM, Comparator, Microhite, Pocket Surf, Indicator, Johnson Gage, Sunnen Gage, Air Gage, all other hand tools as necessary.
- Perform a timely visual inspection of each work-piece to ensure it is free of any visual defects such as burrs, nicks, surface finish, scratches and other deleterious imperfections (possibly requiring the use of a microscope or other magnification devices).
