- Under the direction of a Director of Special Programs, facilitate communication between deaf and/or hard of hearing students and hearing peers, classroom teacher, and other school personnel in classroom and for other school related and/or extra-curricular activities; assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by coursework in American Sign Language or demonstrated competency in interpreting skills and two years of paid interpreting experience working in a variety of situations, including participation activities such as interpreting at conferences, and for one-on-one and classroom environments.
