- Fundamental knowledge of procurement processes and a wide knowledge of varying procured commodities, cost analysis methods, materials management best practices, and aircraft terminology.
- The successful candidate will operate, with limited supervision, in a cross-functional environment, and will directly interface with the program office, design engineering, operations engineering, quality, materials, and with the greater procurement organization.
- Position Purpose : Responsible for the administration of single or multiple subcontracts for strategic source components, such as but not limited to Revenue Share supplier agreements, agreements with suppliers who provide products for multiple Gulfstream aircraft models, those agreements which represent the highest dollar annual commitment contracts for Gulfstream and/or those procurement projects that have a significant impact to Gulfstream future business.
- Lead all Purchasing and Supply Chain Management activity within assigned area of responsibility to create greatest possible strategic sourcing leverage and to provide highest possible level of support for Gulfstream internal customers.
- Manage supplier performance master plan by identifying problems, both internally and at the supplier, determining source of the problem, taking corrective action, and planning and coordinating the involvement of Gulfstream Material management and supplier management, as appropriate.
