- The incumbent will also work closely with other Power Delivery departments, including the Substation Engineering, Transmission Engineering, Protection & Control Engineering, the Renewables teams, as well as with other Arcadis divisions on related HVDC Electrical Engineer system studies and power sector master plans.
- The incumbent shall be familiar and experienced with key North American Market Operators (i.e. MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO) policies, guidelines, regulations, rules, requirements and criteria as applicable to grid interconnection, performance and planning, especially related to bulk power systems.
- As a HVDC SME, support our clients by performing front-end engineering design activities, system studies, EMT & Phasor-domain modeling, developing technical specifications, reviewing design submissions, and supporting commissioning activities.
- Perform or coordinate power systems analysis activities including load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, small-signal stability analysis, reliability analysis etc.
- Proficient with electromagnetic transient software, Mathcad, Matlab, Aspen/CAPE, PSS®E software package, including all modules for load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability analysis.
