- A data engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining data warehouse and analytics architecture to meet UCSF's data and analytics needs.
- Scope includes the sickle cell, thalasemia, bone marrow transplant, etc.
- This Data Engineer will work directly with the Division of Hematology, Department of Pediatrics and the Service Line Director for the UCSF Benioff Children's Cancer, Blood Disorders, and Cellular Therapies Service Line. This key role will be the go-to data engineer and analyst for the multiple UCSF campuses and satellite locations.
- It also spans inpatient and outpatient pediatric oncology, pediatric hematology, bone marrow transplant, lifespan sickle cell programs, immuno-and cellular curative therapies, etc.
- In addition to the service line and the Division of Hematology, this role will work with the Enterprise Information and Analytics (EIA) department to advance UCSF's institutional priorities by enhancing access to and the use of data and analytics, including appropriate data platforms and data governance, in a manner that meets the unique needs across the education, research, and care mission areas.
