- Sergeant Michael Poole was born and raised in the City of Geneva, NY. He always knew at a young age that he wanted to serve the community by becoming a police officer.
- During Sergeant Poole’s time with the department he became a state-certified field training officer where he was assigned to teach new officers about the responsibilities and tasks associated with being a police officer.
- Sergeant Poole is also a state-certified general topics police instructor along with being a state-certified firearms and patrol rifle instructor.
- In 2012, for his continued efforts in DWI protection, Sergeant Poole was a recipient of the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Recognition of Excellence, which is awarded in conjunction with NYS STOP-DWI and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
- In the late 2000’s he was a volunteer coach for the Mynderse Academy JV Baseball Team. He is an avid baseball fan and enjoys watching local sporting events.
