- The School Based Mental Health Clinician provides mental health services to children in the school setting.
- The School Based Mental Health Clinician is responsible for assessing the child's mental health needs, formulating recommendations for treatment interventions, and providing school based individual therapy.
- The School Based Mental Health Clinician will collaborate with other school based providers, such as teachers and counselors, to assist in identifying supports and services for the child and the family to access both within the school and in the community.
- The School Based Mental Health Clinician will encourage engagement with the child, family, community supports, and school based providers to develop a client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed treatment plan to address emotional, social, and behavioral health needs.
- The School Based Mental Health Clinician will ensure compliance with Governmental and Agency regulations and operating standards, act as a liaison with other Divisions/Agencies, serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and provide crisis intervention services.
