- Safety Specialists will assist with compliance surveys of designated facilities and provide solutions and recommendations to ensure compliance, review, and assessment of the seven management areas: Safety, Fire Prevention, Emergency Management Hazardous Materials and Waste, Medical Equipment, Security, and Utilities.
- Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Safety Specialist: Pay commensurate with experience.
- Safety Specialist Responsibilities Include: Conduct comprehensive on-site building tours and assessments to identify deficiencies and potential corrective actions.
- Assist with revising and updating the fire plan to include all Life Safety and Fire Protection features and all technical data required by design engineers to assess specific Life Safety/Fire Safety design issues and identify firewalls/smoke barriers and Other Life Safety Features plan.
- Additional duties include interpreting safety and health codes, standards, and regulations; conducting design reviews for new construction, building renovations, and new equipment/system procurements; managing site environmental and sustainability programs; implementing and managing site emergency planning and preparedness programs and maintaining technical proficiency to provide up-to-date guidance on regulatory standards and industry best practices.
