- You will work steps necessary to implement OSHE requirements for the execution of ship repair work, construction work, chemical laboratory analysis, and service support work.
- You will provide design advice to department /shop heads on state-of-the-art equipment and operations to address safety, fire protection and environmental standards and criteria.
- You will recommend facility/equipment requirements or modifications and assist the responsible department in designing the proper safety, health, environmental and fire protection controls to eliminate hazards or achieve regulatory compliance.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Experience applying production practices (shop/shipyard) and OSH laws/regulations/objectives concerning injury prevention and OSH compliance as they relate to the overall mission, functions, equipment and facilities of a major naval shipyard industrial operation.
