- POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE IN ANCASSOCIATED VASCULITIS RESEARCHThe Specks Laboratory investigates the molecular interactions of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) with their target antigens, and their role in the pathogenesis of autoimmune small vessel vasculitis.
- Our work aims to develop novel precision tools to identify and selectively target antigen-specific pathogenic B lymphocytes in patients with ANCassociated vasculitis (AAV) with the ultimate goal to achieve a cure for AAV. As a Postdoctoral Scientist, you are expected to be proficient with standard molecular and cellular biology and immunology techniques.
- Education: Doctorate (MD, PhD, DVM, or DDS) in area directly related to field of research specialization.
- A recent PhD or MD/PhD with experience in protein biochemistry or immunology is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with fluorescence and confocal imaging, biochemistry, cellular immunology, molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry, gene expression, quantitative analysis, single cell RNAseq/ATACseq/bioinformatics analysis.
