- Prepares patients for surgery by performing diagnostic test required by the surgeon and anesthesiologist, documenting past medical/surgical history and current home medications and reporting abnormal results to the appropriate person (surgeon, nurse practitioner, anesthesia evaluator, etc
- The pre-admission RN also prepares patients for the cath lab and other hospital admissions.
