- The purpose of this classification is to perform responsible and independent administrative work in support of the planning, organizing and implementing of the City's Risk Management and Safety programs under general supervision of the Division Director, Risk Management.
- Areas of assignment include, but are not necessarily limited to city-wide safety programs and activities, emergency management, workers' compensation, self-insurance, loss prevention, loss control programs and activities.
- Directly assists the Division Director, Risk Management in support of Risk Management objectives and initiatives.
- May serve as City liaison and coordinates with various State of Florida, Palm Beach County and local municipalities in the development of emergency planning for response during emergency situations such as hurricanes and other disasters.
- Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data; verifies accuracy of entered data and makes corrections; utilizes word processing, spreadsheet, database, records management, e-mail, scanning, and other software programs.
