- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student and have lived on campus at Sul Ross State University for at least one semester.
- Act in the Assistant Director for Residential Living absence, as designated; Be familiar with all procedures and protocols of hall and office operations; Fulfill office duty and on-call duty responsibilities whenever assigned; Assist in maintaining hall security and safety
- Resident Assistant is allowed to hold other employment positions on- or off-campus for up to 10 hours maximum per week.
- RAs must obtain written approval from the Assistant Director of Residential Living before holding other employment outside of the RA positions (both academic and non-academic) that fall within or exceed the 10-hour limit; Being a role model is an inherent part and one of the critical roles for a Resident Assistant.
