- The residency program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP).
- The program provides structured training and progress assessment in all aspects of clinical medical physics in diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine, with direct supervision by the medical physics faculty.
- The medical physics resident will be expected to work in this training position for 3 years to qualify for both ABR Diagnostic and Nuclear Medical Physics certification exams.
- Under supervision, performs acceptance testing on all types of radiological imaging equipment to meet new equipment specifications and baseline image quality assurance metrics.
