- The University of Washington’s Department of Ophthalmology has an outstanding opportunity open for a Temporary Research Scientist 2 in the Lee Computational Ophthalmology Lab. The Lee Computational Ophthalmology Lab is leading collaborative efforts on large multidisciplinary research projects, using Big Data and machine learning, involving the relationship between the eye and brain.
- The Research Scientist/Engineer 2 will play a critical role in these important studies.
- Under supervision, the Research Scientist 2 will apply statistical analyses and data mining techniques to extract, clean, and analyze various sources of data.
- The Research Scientist will also review project related documents, prepare Statistical Analysis Plans and statistical reports, and participate in presentations and writing manuscripts.
- Candidate is expected to continue in the development of technical expertise and knowledge related to data science, programming, machine learning, review the recent literature, and implement new techniques under supervision.
