- The Research Proposal Development Officer assists in the preparation and submission of federal grant and contract proposals originating from Tulane’s university-wide institutes and centers, such as the Innovation Institute, Aging Institute, Brain Institute, Bywater Institute, Murphy Institute and Translational Sciences Institutes.
- This position is responsible for researching federal grant opportunities, coordinating and managing the proposal development process, and drafting supporting documents and editing the scientific components of a proposal.
- Reporting to the Director of the Office of Research Proposal Development in the Office of Research, the Research Proposal Development Officer serves an important and highly visible role in a demanding, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent computer skills; high level of fluency in word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software - Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint expertise
- Master's Degree and three years of successful grant-writing or related experience in a science communication field, including extensive writing and administrative expertiseOR
