- The Contracting Officer will have knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its supplements, including the Department of Defense DFARS, be able to work independently and make sound business decisions for the institution.
- Facilitate Prime contract execution by working with Government Contracting Officers as well as Contracting Officer Representatives, and individual Project Managers (PMs) Review, negotiate and execute Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, Associate Contractor Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Interpersonal Act Agreements, and Memorandums of Understanding Resolve contractual issues, including interpreting contract language and negotiating contract changes.
- Knowledge Application of required skills within a not for profit, educational or federal government contractor organization is preferred.
