- In a vaccine research department under general supervision of the principal investigator, conducts a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests using molecular, cell biology and/or biochemistry techniques.
- Performs specific lab procedures including DNA cloning, cell culture, subunit protein production & purification, adenovirus vector-vaccine production and purification, mRNA/self-amplifying RNA/circRNA production and mRNLNP vaccine fabrication, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, western blot and other assays as needed.
- Performs Level I responsibilities with a higher level of problem resolution, analytical ability, and self-direction.
- Performs routine laboratory procedures, i.e. DNA cloning, transfection, cell culture, PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, immunoassays such as ELISA, cellular staining, etc.
- May assist with mice handling, sample collection and necropsy.
