- The Vascular Access Nurse provides consultation for providers and nurses for the most apprioprate vascular access device based on patient assessment and treatment plan.
- Places vascular access devices such as: peripheral intravenous catheters (PIV), Peripheral Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), Midline cathers.
- Services as a resource for the health care team in the intravenous access, placement, management, and patien/family education for care and maintenance technique, ultrasound machines and ability to confirm line placement via chest x-ray successful placement of PICC/ Placement verification device.
- The 295-bed hospital with over 550 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment.
- Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services.
