- Coordinates recreational and/or athletic activities by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs, recruiting and retaining professional service providers, setting up schedules, marketing, securing sponsorships, providing accounting services, including payment of professional service providers, monitoring attendance, answering questions and concerns related to activities, and organizing registrations.
- Provides various forms of administrative service by monitoring equipment safety, inspecting facility for safety and cleanliness, supervising patrons, providing first aid as needed, assisting in membership and class sales, processing electronic funds and payments, conducting orientations, scheduling of facility space, maintaining records, providing documentation for budget preparation and monitoring.
- Plans and assists with special events by facilitating coordination, providing services as required by the type of event, assisting with event set-up and break-down, and attending and supervising special events.
- A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of relevant work experience including but not limited to Learn-to-Skate, Hockey, Figure Skating, and Special Events.
- Certification and Other Requirements Knowledge of USA Hockey, USA Figure Skating, and Ice Skating Institute rules/regulations with current certification in one or all organizations is desired.
