- Responsibilities:Support flight development projects as the focal engineer for Ionizing Radiation (IR) effects on Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) parts.
- Support projects in early phases to evaluate the radiation risk protocol, and recommend processes to support the protocol.
- Coordinate with NASA Natural Environments Branch to develop the radiation environments specification based on the project’s concept of operation documents.
- Qualifications:Must have a BS in an Engineering or STEM field with 15 years of experience, MS in Engineering/STEM with 13 years of experience, or PhD in Engineering/STEM with 10 years of experienceAbility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearanceExtensive experience with the effects of ionizing radiation on electronics and electronic components, including experience with NASA or Military Standards.
