- Directs the activities of Aircraft and Avionics Inspectors, ensuring that their work, as well as the work performed by Service Center Maintenance Technicians, meets the technical quality standards defined by various specifications and regulations.
- Reviews, risks, and coordinates action on any "Maintenance Continuous Improvement" (MCI) reports generated.
- Able to research and find pertinent FAA specifications, type certificate data sheets, airworthiness directives, manufacturers' overhaul manuals, service bulletins, related Federal Aviation Administration material, and other technical publications as required.
- Ensures that all technical information and specifications upon which aircraft overhaul, maintenance, repairs, servicing, modifications, installations, and rework is performed is FAA and/or applicable CAA approval requirements to the latest version available.
- Ensures the proper execution of FAA Form 337, when required, and the Maintenance Release pertinent to all items released to service by the Service Center.
