- The Public Information Officer oversees public information and public engagement for the Benton County organization.
- Responsibilities include working collaboratively with the Board of Commissioners (BOC), County Administration, Directors, communications staff in County departments, management, and staff, to inform and educate the public, media representatives, community partners, stakeholders and other governmental agencies through a variety of communications, marketing, media relations, and community engagement and public relations activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, English, creative writing, history, political science, public or business administration, or related field; AND
- Combined with outdoor recreation galore in the Cascade Range 80 miles to the east and the Coastal Range and Pacific Ocean 50 miles west, the county's 90,000 residents like to say they "have it all."
- Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security's I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States.
