- An employee in a position allocated to this class is responsible for direct administration of contracts including writing and/or reviewing technical specifications, monitoring contract provisions and conducting site inspections.
- Work may include assisting in the grant application process for federal, state and county funding for potential projects.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management or Finance; ten (10) years of progressive responsible experience in roadway construction including at least three (3) years of project management experience; 15 years of training and experience.
- The incumbent of this positon must be knowledgeable in principles and techniques of management, supervision, budgeting, and project management; computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and project
- software; considerable knowledge of federal, state and local standards as it relates to building and roadway construction.
