- Instead of playing pretend and imagining grand adventures, unaccompanied children face perilous conditions alone as they travel to unfamiliar countries, leaving home and loved ones behind to escape war and violence.
- Our childrens centers, operated through a grant from the Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR), provide safety, stability and wraparound services.
- The Program Trainer educates, trains, and advises on policies/procedures; Bridging Refugee Youth and Children's Services (BRYCS); Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA); Pre-Service; Emergency Behavior Intervention, CPR & First Aide, and develops monthly program curriculum to remain compliant with annual ORR and state licensing training standards and requirements for all staff.
- All staff must be able to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route if working directly with unaccompanied children (UC).
- Maintain employee training matrix and employee training documentation of certificates of completion for attended trainings; always maintain employee training file current in accordance with licensing, CARF, and ORR requirements; partner with and use People Operations as a resource to assist with issues as observed through training facilitation
