- Coordinates and monitors the comprehensive preventative maintenance program for water and wastewater treatment plants on a agency-wide basis and provides training to plant personnel, ensuring a skilled and knowledgeable workforce; represents CAMS as a key liaison with regulatory bodies, including OEPA and ODH, to ensure operations are within compliance and address compliance issues
- Takes charge as the operator of record at water/wastewater treatment plants and responsibility for the program development and implementation of public health aspects of water quality, including surveillance and sample monitoring of public water systems
- Acts as the operator of record at the institutions with water/wastewater treatment plants, as required
- Assesses elevated tanks' condition, and evaluates cathodic protection systems and monitors installations of equipment and contractors' work, including steam and hot water boilers with a focus on chemical feed treatment and instructs resident personnel in corrective actions and troubleshoot problems in coordination with district treatment plant coordinators and conducts safety and health inspections
- Designs, reviews and implements drawings and specifications for water and sewage plant and mechanical equipment installations and develops individualized plans for runoff pollution mitigations and programming to provide chemical analysis to support intensive biological and water quality surveys and develops and writes specifications for new equipment, as well as maintenance manuals and research, gather, and compile information for records and reports and plans
