- UST is seeking a full-time Open Rank Faculty Professor of Irish History to join the endowed William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies and the UST Department of Core Fellows.
- Core Fellows form the nucleus of the permanent teaching faculty dedicated to the undergraduate Core Curriculum, which operates as a distinct department in the Division of Liberal Studies.
- Applicants should also share the Core's vision of and commitment to a classical liberal arts education in the Catholic Tradition in a way that embraces the thought of St. John Henry Newman and Josef Pieper.
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate competence to teach undergraduate and graduate students in Irish history and culture, the Irish diaspora and contemporary Ireland, as well as other areas of history, and preferably more than one discipline (such as politics, political science, International Studies and the Irish language).
