- In short, the Supply Planner plans, compiles, calculates, reviews, confers, and synchronizes Supply and Demand and drives the various shops and Support departments to ensure adequate supply exists.
- Uses various tools and systems (ERP and others) to assess demand, usability and location of available inventory, open Purchase orders and other possible sources of supply (ex: our rotable pools) to establish Supply Plans to meet the current and expected demand for parts or subassemblies.
- Typically, a Production/Supply Planner is able to devise, implement and follow through on nominally simple strategies and programs with minimum guidance and supervision, and will rely on guidance from more senior Production/Supply Planners to execute on matters of higher scope and complexity.
- New Product/Program support: a Production/Supply Planner will occasionally be assigned to nominally simple New Product Introduction and/or new capability projects for the fleet, usually with some guidance and mentoring from more senior Production/Supply Planners.
- 2+ years Production management, Production Control and/or Supply Planning experience working in structured, complex and highly regulated Manufacturing environment.
