- Extensive geotechnical background including a strong fundamental knowledge of principles of geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, pavement engineering, and groundwater hydrology.
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering suffices; a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering wows but is not a dealbreaker.
- The successful candidate should be a licensed Professional Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer in the state of California or ability to obtain.
