- Two postdoctoral scientist positions are available in the lab of Professor William Gray in the Department of Plant & Microbial Biology at the University of Minnesota.
- Approaches include gain- and loss-of-function genetics coupled with phenotypic analysis, phosphoproteomics, enzymatic analysis of kinase and phosphatase activities, and identification of protein interaction networks using yeast 2-hybrid and affinity purification-mass spectrometry approaches.
- Independently conduct molecular and genetic experiments, including generation and characterization of Arabidopsis mutants, creation of transgenic plants, protein purification, enzyme and protein interaction assays, standard molecular biological manipulations, and analysis of gene/protein expression/regulation.
- All strains, DNA constructs and reagents are to be maintained, with a full record of the work.
- PhD in genetics, cell/molecular biology, biochemistry or related field is required.
