- The Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University is inviting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in trauma and violence prevention.
- management and analysis of existing data sets of the Begun Center to address important social problems in the areas of trauma, law enforcement, community-based violence prevention, juvenile justice, behavioral health, and more;
- development or research and information gathering protocols in emerging problem areas including the heroin-opiate crisis, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other issues identified by community partners and federal agencies as priority needs;
- In addition, fellows will have the opportunity to guest lecture in courses taught by Begun Center faculty on topics related to violence prevention including but not limited to: 1) violence as a public health problem; 2) evidence-based treatment approaches including trauma-informed care; and 3) substance use and related disorders.
- As appropriate and consistent with university policy and the fellow's interests and training needs, they may also be eligible to take advanced doctoral level courses in epidemiology and biostatistics, sociology, anthropology, political science, psychology, etc.
