- As a Police Officer in the Security Protective Service (SPS) for CIA, you will protect CIA personnel, facilities, and information through the enforcement of Federal laws and Agency Regulations.
- SPS provides a full range of high-quality security and police services through a variety of fixed posts, patrol operations, and specialty units.
- Specialty unit assignments are filled through competitive vacancy processes and include K-9, bomb squad, hazmat, emergency planning, security operations, and court liaison.
- Newly hired Security Protective Service Cadets must complete an intensive twelve (12) week, Uniformed Police Training Program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, Georgia, or qualify for a FLETC waiver.
- You will then transition to Officer-in-Training (OIT) status where you will be individually assigned to an SPS Field Training Officer for operational training and final evaluations before appointment as Police Officers.
