- The Point of Care (POC), under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director, provides technical oversight for all POC Testing (POCT) across the region, the POCC is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the quality assurance functions of POCT done by non-laboratory caregivers.
- Responsible for oversight of testing personnel performance and adherence to the SOPs withing the framework of compliance with all applicable regulatory/accreditation requirements including CLIA standards, Joint Commission, and College of American Pathology (CAP) guidelines, and investigates and reports on issues on non-compliance and/or proficiency failures.
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology, medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or Chemistry
- Licensure: Certified Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Scientist, Lab discipline specific or specialty certificate (ASCP or AMT) preferred
