- The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for the Navy's Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) Piers Connectivity Services program as a Site Operations Leader.
- The SMIT contract will provide secure end-to-end Information Technology (IT) services to more than 400,000 hardware devices and 600,000+ users at over 1,600 Continental United States (CONUS) sites and over 82 OCONUS site across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East; constituting one of the largest combined networks in the world.
- Under the Piers Connectivity Services portion of the contract, the Leidos team will provide pier side connect/disconnect service, network administration, and fiber optic cable repair supporting US Navy vessels arriving and departing from piers throughout the CONUS Theatre.
- The Site Operations Leader will provide the Government and Piers Service Delivery Manager accurate and timely status regarding task execution and performance and will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of all deliverables.
- The Site Operations Leader will track and conduct network operations and engineering activities; connect/disconnect actions at the piers, maintenance; repair and replacement of cables; and the shipment and status of replacement parts and equipment.
