- The successful candidate will direct an independent basic or translational research program in the molecular pathology of breast cancer, including breast cancer diagnostics and risk assessment.
- The successful candidate will have a track record of innovative accomplishment in basic/translational research in breast cancer and an interest in working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, including ongoing initiatives and activities in the UCSF Breast Oncology Program.
- The candidate will have or seek to develop a robust portfolio of extramural grant support.
- The successful candidate will be proposed for membership in the Biomedical Science (BMS) Graduate Program.
- Additional duties will include departmental and university teaching for graduate students, medical students, house-staff and fellows, and clinical service, preferably in Breast Pathology, that is commensurate with the individual’s qualifications and interests.
