- In general, the Physical Therapist will provide medical readiness support services to the Hawaii Army National Guard increasing the physical capacity of fighter aircrew, decreasing the rate of injuries, and accelerating return to duty.
- The Physical Therapist candidate be responsible for working in conjunction with the Air National Guard (ANG) fighter aircrew to optimize physical performance targeting neck and back pain prevention while monitoring, analyzing, and resolving physical readiness concerns focusing on Soldier to emphasize the maintenance of peak performance over the long term in order to lengthen the Soldier’s service life while ensuring high-quality production.
- Develop an Individualized Program (IP) for each member served: The PT, working with any other team members, including strength and conditioning coach, athletic trainer, or members of the local medical team when appropriate, will develop an IP for each assigned aircrew member.
- Communicate with the servicing MTF when an aircrew member has a medical condition or injury requiring medical care.
- Refer fighter aircrew personnel with a new duty-limiting condition to the servicing MTF.
