- As a Physical Therapist, you will restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
- Uses problem-solving and clinical decision-making to independently design, implement, and modify therapeutic interventions to maintain, improve, or restore function.
- Determines when the expertise and decision-making capability of the physical therapist requires the physical therapist to personally render physical therapy interventions and when it may be appropriate to utilize the physical therapist assistant.
- Determines the most appropriate utilization of the physical therapist assistant that provides for the delivery of service that is safe, effective, and efficient.
- Uses acceptable billing and coding practices; documents appropriately in the electronic medical record.
