- The Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology will provide collaborative pharmaceutical care to patients receiving antineoplastic therapy or palliative care therapy in the setting of malignancy.
- Additionally, the pharmacist will work in collaboration with pharmacy leadership, the hematology/oncology providers, and infusion centers to monitor chemotherapeutic utilization, supportive drug therapy utilization, adverse drug reactions, therapeutic regimens, and patient and provider safety.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
- PHYSICIAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for up to 8 hours per day and up to three consecutive hours.
- SPECIFIC PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE: Gowns, gloves, masks, eye protection, closed system transfer device, biological safety cabinet MOST COMPLEX DUTY: Accurately assessing patients medication therapy to allow for appropriate recommendations and actions.
