- The Emory + Children's Pediatric Institute, in collaboration with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, is seeking one full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist (1.0 FTE) in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology.
- This neuropsychologist will primarily support our inpatient rehabilitation team on the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIRU) at the Scottish Rite campus in addition to conducting outpatient evaluations to monitor recovery over time.
- The Department of Neuropsychology at Children's is one of the largest in the Southeast region.
- The Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIRU) is a CARF-accredited, 28-bed unit located on the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite campus that provides intensive inpatient neurorehabilitation to children and adolescents who have experienced an acquired brain injury and/or (new onset) medical diagnosis with neurological involvement.
- Common diagnoses include acquired injuries (e.g., TBI, spinal cord injury, anoxic brain injury, stroke, abusive head trauma [AHT]), new onset illness (e.g., meningitis/encephalitis, brain tumors), as well as various neurodevelopmental and chronic neurological conditions (e.g., cerebral palsy, spina bifida, intractable epilepsy).
