Responsibilities:
<ul><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 1.5in;">Schedules all follow-up appointments in the practice management system following the provider order and/or office protocol in a high-volume clinic setting. </li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 1.5in;">Cancels/reschedules appointments according to patient or physician scheduling changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 1.5in;">Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 1.5in;">Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/practice.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 1.5in;">Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.  Covers for other front office functions as requested.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 1.5in;">May schedule outpatient appointments/testing and hospital admissions upon request.  May obtain necessary authorization and pre-certification as required.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 1.5in;">May communicate to patient about tests being scheduled and potential prep work needed, inquiring about test specifics from necessary parties and gathering patient information as needed</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">At least two years front medical office experience</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">Experience working in a practice management system with insurance forms and appointment scheduling preferred </li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must be comfortable communicating with medical professionals as an integral part of the care team</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">High level organization, attention to detail and prioritizing required </li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">Electronic Medical Record and or Practice Software Proficiency required </li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">Successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of hire</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">Adapts to daily work challenges confidently</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">Is willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, demonstrates flexibility </li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">“Work efficiently to achieve high performance standards”</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">Work history reflects quality delivery of service</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in .5in;">High School diploma or equivalent required</li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
