- Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State University College of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained blood banking/transfusion medicine clinical pathologist.
- We are a busy, clinical pathology practice at the quaternary care academic hub: the Hershey Medical Center, Penn State Cancer Institute and Penn State Children ’ s Hospital.
- A comprehensive PBM program will provide a patient-centered, systematic, evidence-based approach to improve patient outcomes by managing and preserving the patient's own blood, while promoting patient safety and empowerment with a specialized focus on anemia management, multidisciplinary blood conservation, optimization of hemostasis/coagulation and patient centered care.
- Clinical effort will also include Clinical Pathology service coverage including Transfusion Medicine, Therapeutic Apheresis, Clinical Chemistry, and Hematology services.
- The successful candidate will join a strong, collegial department of 42 faculty in Anatomic, Clinical and Experimental Pathology, with a new section of Molecular Pathology and Cytogenetics forthcoming.
