- A Parks and Aquatics Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing journey-level work that involves installing, maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting small and large pumps, vertical turbine pumps, motors up to 100 HP, and related equipment (example: hydraulics, electrical components, etc.)
- at parks, basins, aquatics facilities, and park decorative fountains, ball fields, and lakes.
- The employee may be assigned to a shift which includes nights, weekends, and holidays, and is subject to stand-by during peak use.
- This class is supervised by the Parks Maintenance Supervisor or Parks and Community Facilities Maintenance Foreman who reviews work through work orders, conferences, and spot-checking for results achieved.
- Employees in this class will be assigned to a seven-day rotational call-out.
