Qualifications and Requirements Experience, Education, and Training for Park Ranger: <ul> <li>Must be a high school graduate or have G.E.D., 21 years of age, a United States Citizen; </li> </ul>AND <ul> <li>Must possess a Missouri P.O.S.T. Class A certification (650 hours or equivalent) or Class B certification (470 hours or equivalent); </li></ul>AND <ul> <li>Two years of law enforcement experience; </li> </ul>OR <ul> <li>At least 12 months of experience as a Park Ranger Recruit with the Parks Department; </li></ul>AND <ul> <li>Must be current in P.O.S.T. continuing education requirements up to prior calendar year. </li></ul>PREFERRED <ul> <li>College degree in related field, and may substitute for some of the required experience. </li> </ul>Licensing/Certification for Park Ranger: <ul> <li>MO P.O.S.T. Class A or B certification; </li><li>Must pass state exam and maintain P.O.S.T. requirements, and maintain good-standing and eligibility as a Commissioned Officer; </li><li>Possess a valid driver's license; </li><li>Possess or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire date. </li> </ul> Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive and in-depth background investigation, including a credit check.
