- As an Outpatient Clinical Care Assistant, you will provide care to diverse populations of patients under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
- Outpatient Clinical Care Assistants also perform administrative duties, such as appointment scheduling and patient registration, which offer a unique learning opportunity to expand your skillset.
- Job Responsibilities:Completes the rooming process, to include but not limited to vitals, height, weight, and completion of intake questions and documents and reports abnormal findings to RN or LIP.Collects patient specimens, performs Point of Care Testing, and prepares specimens for transport to lab.
- Assists with procedures such as EKG, Holter monitor application, pulse oximetry, hearing and vision screening, and disinfection and sterilization.
- Assists with wound care under the direction of the LIP.Documents in the electronic health record and assists with management of in-baskets and closure of care gaps.
