- A successful OSP Maintenance Technician shall access specific areas to maintain and/or repair a customer's outside plant; to include, splicing, testing power supplies, performing line work on utility poles, and sweep testing system performance.
- At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines and poles, and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems or be excited to be trained in these areas.
- The ability to work aloft, either from a ladder, aerial lift device, or by gaffing
- The ability to operate equipment, including, but not limited to an aerial lift device, pick-up trucks, and hand tools
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment (Wrenches, Drills, Ladders, Lanyards, Fork Lifts, Saws, etc.)
